SUMMARY:Bowl for Kids’ Sake
DESCRIPTION:The youth empowerment nonprofit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Western Massachusetts (BBBSWM) invites the public to help fund programs that support kids in Berkshire\, Franklin\, and Hampden counties through the annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake (BFKS) fundraiser. Each of the three events will run from 10 a.m. to noon on the following Saturdays: April 19 K&M Bowling in Pittsfield\, April 26 at Shaker Bowl in East Longmeadow\, and May 3 at French King Bowling in Erving. Those interested in supporting BBBSWM’s mission can visit secure.qgiv.com/event/bbbswm2025bfks to register their team and get tips on how to engage their own networks to join in supporting their bowling team. BBBS creates connections between children (‘littles’) with qualified and vetted mentors (‘bigs’) in the community to create fulfilling relationships.

DESCRIPTION:The Springfield Chamber Players premieres Broadway with Strings Attached\, a new pops concert celebrating music from Broadway\, at 52 Sumner in Springfield\, on Saturday\, April 26\, at 8PM. This chamber music pops program features the Springfield Chamber Players’ Quartetto Mosso\, narrators Marty Kluger and Mark G. Auerbach\, and vocalists Sarah Vincelett Dredge and Spencer Reese. Quartetto Mossofeatures violinists Ronald Gorevic and Beth Welty\, violist Delores Thayer\, and cellist Yoonhee Ko.  \nTickets are available in advance through Eventbrite\, and will be available at the door at 6PM on the evening of the performance\, subject to availability. (Cash or checks only at the door). Tickets purchased in advance are less expensive than door sales. The venue opens at 7PM\, with refreshments available. Seating is cabaret style. Street parking is available\, as well as parking in the lot behind the old Friendly’s.
