SUMMARY:Averting the Crisis That Threatens Business Value
DESCRIPTION:Businesses know that in a PR crisis there is no due process. And there’s little public empathy.\nCompanies are too often surprised by a serious challenge to their reputation that tarnishes their brand and impacts the value of their enterprise – everything from vehicle accidents\, to employee mistakes or misconduct\, or product issues – any of which could be shared across the internet in an instant. \nHow do we address the adverse publicity? More importantly\, how can we avoid it? \nJoin us for a March 29th conversation with people who have dealt effectively with these issues\, first hand. This breakfast discussion will be led by a SE New England – based national expert in crisis communications\, reputation management and branding. He will be joined by an attorney experienced in guiding affected clients\, and a company leader who has navigated these crisis issues. \nWhen “that will never happen here” does happen here\, an immediate\, integrated\, transparent and strategic response is essential. \nPlease join us on March 29th at Bryant University for another essential business conversation. \nPanelists:\nJaney Bishoff\, CEO\, Bishoff Communications\nKas DeCarvalho\, Partner\, Pannone Lopes Devereaux and O’Gara\, LLC\nThomas Hoopes\, Partner\, Libby Hoopes\, PC \nModerator: Gregg Perry\, President\, The Perry Group

SUMMARY:Family Business Center dinner forum: EMBEZZLED! SURVIVING FRAUD IN YOUR FAMILY BUSINESS
DESCRIPTION: \nIn 2014\, Tyra Dellacroce’s family business\, Connecticut Stone Supplies\, fell victim to a large scale embezzlement scheme that was perpetuated by the company’s contract CFO\, a personal friend of the family. We will also hear the observations about and recommendations to protect yourself from economic crime from John Pucci\, former federal prosecutor for 10 years\, now a defense attorney for 20\, now with Bulkley Richardson. SUMMARY:Would You Buy Your Business?
DESCRIPTION: \nIt turns out\, absence can make the heart grow fonder\, and the business transaction sounder. People who acquire or invest in businesses have unique viewpoints of value and valuation. But there are no sounder insights than those of business owners who left and later reacquired their companies.\nJoin XPX New England and the Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors for Would You Buy Your Business\, where we’ll hear first-hand insights from three CEO’s who took this unusual course. Robert Bolton\, Arden Engineering\, Jim Dandeneau\, Putnam Plastics Corporation and Mike Mosse\, Mosse & Mosse Associates\, will discuss what they learned after going through the sale of the same enterprise from both sides of the table\, including:\nAs sellers what did they do well; what did they miss; and what could they have done differently to prepare and then sell their companies? \nAs buyers what extraordinary insights did they bring to their due diligence\, negotiations\, and resumption of ownership? How did their prior ownership prepare them to be better acquirers; and better owners? \nModerator: Chris Bond\, Murphy Business\nSpeakers: Robert Bolton\, CEO Arden Engineering\nJim Dandeneau\, CEO Putnam Plastics Corporation\nMike Mosse\, CEO Mosse & Mosse Associates \nContact: Call – 978-392-7929 or Email – donna@exitplanningexchange.com \nRegistration: Free for XPX New England Members; $65 for Non-Members.
