WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
New England Business Associates (NEBA) is a nonprofit organization with its main office in Springfield. On an annual basis, NEBA assists more than 800 individuals, with more than 400 of our participants residing in Western Mass. We offer individualized services, which assist participants in attaining competitive paid employment. This allows them to contribute to and be included in their community and become economically empowered. NEBA provides pre-employment services, job placement, on-the-job supports, as well as self-employment services, all of which are designed to maximize each individual’s success in employment. NEBA has continually achieved an 85% to 92% employment success rate, leading us to be a preferred
employment provider for individuals who are facing barriers to entering the workforce. Our most recent efforts have focused on employment preparedness and job-placement services for individuals with an autism-spectrum disorder. NEBA matches the skills, interests, and talents of individuals supported to the specific needs and hiring trends of local employers. We believe that our communities are much stronger when all have an opportunity to participate.
GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
Contributions to NEBA from individual, corporate, and foundation partners help to fund individual support needs beyond current contractual obligations as well as enhance programmatic services, all of which positively impacts the residents of Western Mass. and its economy. Donations can be made online at nebaworks.com or mailed to 66 Industry Ave., Suite 11, Springfield, MA 01104.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
NEBA is always looking for volunteers of various backgrounds, skills, and talents to assist us in furthering our mission to enhance the lives of those we serve. We would
love to connect with people interested in becoming mentors, guest speakers for our vocational Career Ladders program, videographers to assist with PSA creation, and those with event planning and marketing skills. If you are interested in learning more about volunteering for us, please email volunteer@ nebaworks.com. Additionally, NEBA partners with local colleges and universities and hosts several internships throughout the year for vocational rehabilitation, education, marketing, and business majors.
