ties,” she said, noting initiatives like Savings Makes Sense, a partner-
ship forged in the late 1990s with local schools — eventually about 40
of them — in which the bank collected deposits and students could
engage in banking activities right at school.
“Do they want to take
vacations? Is that important
to them? Do they want
to own a pet? These are
choices you and I make
every day, and we’re
bringing it to the students.”
