Visual and Digital Arts at American International College (AIC), is receiv- ing acclaim for photographs he took
at the beginning of the 1980s hip-hop scene in Boston. On Sept. 15, the pres- tigious Sotheby’s hosted its first-ever hip-hop auction, where the profes- sor’s photos were featured. Among the auctioned items were two lots of previ- ously unseen photographs, 42 images in all, taken by Nordell.
