Event Celebrating the Class of 2021
After a 2020 in which the 40 Under Forty celebration was spread out over four small events due to pandemic restrictions, the class of 2021 gathered together all at once at the Log Cabin in Holyoke on Sept. 23 for a high-energy, celebratory, and occasionally moving night. In an attempt to socially distance about 550 attendees as much as possible, honorees walked to the stage to accept their awards in three different spaces: two large event rooms and the tented Upper Vista — and spirits were high, and sometimes raucous, in all three. The takeaway? People are clearly ready to get together and celebrate again — safely, of course. They really missed events like these — and it showed. Also celebrating was Hampden County District Attorney Anthony Gulluni, who took home the seventh annual Alumni Achievement Award (AAA). The 15th annual 40 Under Forty event was made possible by its sponsors, including presenting sponsor PeoplesBank, AAA sponsor Health New England, Comcast Business, the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst, Mercedes-Benz of Springfield, and Venture X.
