 State Launches New Stipend Program for Eligible Job Seekers in Training
Earlier this month, the Healey-Driscoll administration launched the Massachu- setts Workforce Skills Fund, a pilot sti- pend program to provide financial sup- port for eligible unemployed and under-
employed Massachusetts residents enrolled
in job training, including the Career Technical Initiative and Workforce Competitiveness Trust Fund programs.
Administered by the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development in partner- ship with Commonwealth Corp., the Workforce Skills Fund is designed to reduce barriers to job training and employment by providing financial support for eligible trainees and also attract
