DESCRIPTION:Bicycle Film Festival is coming to the Berkshires on June 16 at The Stationery Factory – proudly hosted by Pittsfield Community Design Center and Berkshire NEMBA. Schedule BFF your way and choose from two different curated selections of 90-minute short films celebrating the bicycle in all its forms – see program descriptions below. Attend one or both showings and make BFF a part\, or all\, of a beautiful summer Sunday in the Berkshires. \n  \nAttend either program for $25 (or $10 for children under 12)\, or both programs for $40. A portion of your ticket sale supports the Berkshire Bike Skills Park\, a project to bring more mountain biking education to youth around the region. \n  \nMake a day of it and join the organizers for community bike rides (schedule TBA)\, visit local vendors in the beautiful Stationery Factory halls\, and grab a bite nearby around Dalton’s Main Street. Or\, just drop in for a film showing as part of your day. \n  \nBicycle Film Festival has been celebrating bicycles through art\, film\, and music over the past 24 years. BFF spans the world in over 100 cities worldwide to an audience of over one million people. \n  \nTentative schedule of events on June 16: \n  \n12 PM grounds open – Group rides kick off at nearby locations TBD: \nFree to the public who are invited to donate to Berkshire Bike Skills Park. Both on-road and off-road rides are being offered for different skill levels and preferences. \nClub seating for all shows. \n2 PM showing – BFF Adventure shorts (90-min. runtime): \nSeven short films (see below) that appeal to a wide audience from film connoisseurs to avid cyclists and everyone in between. For lovers of gravel\, mountain biking\, bike-packing\, and ultra-endurance cycling\, this program will take you on a journey around the world:  \n\nKailey Kornhauser and fellow “fat cyclist” Marley Blonsky are on a mission to change the idea that people with larger bodies can’t ride bikes\nA family gives up everything to be together in their motorhome\, traveling from bike park to bike park across Europe\nThe 1900-mile bicycle journey by Erick Cedeno (Bicycle Nomad) retracing the original route of the Buffalo Soldiers\nA bike park shuts its doors to boys for one day: Girls Only\nOlympian and queer cyclist\, Lea Davison proves that you don’t have to choose between who you love and the sport you love\nThe first BMX crew in Nigeria\nA short animation about how there’s no stopping where a bike can take you\n\n4 PM – Room clear and ticket check for BFF all-day pass holders. \n4 PM to 6 PM – Vendor hall and grounds remain open \nShop for bike merch or dine in and around The Stationery Factory. Local food options include Shire Brew-Haus and Hot Harry’s Fresh Burritos!  \n  \n6 PM showing – BFF Select shorts (90-min. runtime): \nNine-plus curated documentaries\, narratives\, animations\, award-winning directors\, and emerging talents – all share equal billing.
