Statistics show one in three men and one in four women in America will face cancer in their lifetime — a staggering statistic. The Tom Cosenzi Driving for the Cure Charity Golf Tournament is dedicated to changing these odds, and we invite you to join our fight against cancer by sponsoring our great event, which supports Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s ultimate mission of conquering cancer.

WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
The Tom Cosenzi Driving for the Cure Charity
Golf Tournament was started by Carla Cosenzi and Tommy Cosenzi to honor the legacy of their father, Tom Cosenzi, who passed away from glioblastoma in 2009 and dreamed of a cure for brain cancer. As the co-presidents of the TommyCar Auto Group, Carla and Tommy have made this tournament a flagship philanthropic event in the Western New England auto-dealership community.
For the past nine years, the tournament has raised more than $830,700 to support Patrick Wen, MD,
and his research colleagues in the Center for Neuro- Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The Center for Neuro-Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is at the forefront of research and patient care, thanks in large part to fundraising efforts through the Tom Cosenzi Charity Golf Tournament.
Under the leadership of Director Patrick Wen, MD, and Clinical Director David Reardon, MD, Dana-Farber investigators are working to increase understanding of brain and central nervous system tumors and
to translate these findings into novel therapies for patients.
