MISSION STATEMENT
Way Finders lights pathways and opens doors to homes and communities where people thrive.
WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
For more than 40 years, Way Finders has provided an array of housing solutions for people, regardless of their circumstances.
Our services cover the continuum of housing services, from preventing homelessness to assisting first-time homebuyers. When people have safe, secure places to live, they can begin work on the other fundamentals necessary to thrive. Way Finders offers access to education, job training, and healthy living through our ongoing work with community collaborators. We are also experienced developers and managers of high-quality affordable housing
in communities throughout Western Mass. We help people live where they wish to live, and we assist communities in expanding opportunities for everyone, from all walks of life.
The work of building strong communities depends, in large measure, on resident engagement and involvement. Way Finders, with our many community partners, helps residents identify the most pressing needs of their neighborhoods and then teaches them how to advocate for the resources to develop workable solutions. We forge connections, neighbor to neighbor, and build residents’ capacity to lead.
GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
Contributions to Way Finders from individual, corporate, and foundation partners help to fund programs and services across
the organization. Along with supporting the Way Finders Annual Fund during its annual appeals, or making donations using the Community Investment Tax Credit (CITC) program that provides a 50% tax credit against Commonwealth of Massachusetts tax liability, donors can join Way Finders’ multi-year Giving Society at its annual event every spring. Way Finders also provides corporate sponsorship opportunities for a variety of special events. For more information, contact Megan Talbert, Senior Vice President of Resource Development, at (413) 233-1668 or
[email protected].
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Volunteer opportunities exist at the executive level, including service on the Way Finders board of directors and board-designated committees. Way Finders also seeks volunteers and community partners to help with organizing, producing, and participating in fund raising and community events.
