WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
Many use the term ‘disability,’ but the WillPower Foundation celebrates the power of different abilities. The WillPower Foundation helps individuals with different abilities reach their full capability by helping bridge the gap where insurance doesn’t meet their needs. Since 2008, the WillPower Foundation has given more than $185,000
to emPOWER individuals and their families across Western Mass. by covering items ranging from therapeutic horseback-riding lessons to weighted blankets for kids with sensory needs, to essential life-saving equipment for home and travel. The WillPower Foundation helps families, however they need it, through a simple online application process. WillPower was founded in honor of Will Burke, a Holyoke teenager who has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair. Will uses his will power to make a difference in the lives of hundreds of families each year and help change the way our community thinks about the word ‘disability.’ We all have the POWER to make a difference.
GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
Honor the tenacity of individuals like Will by making a recurring monthly donation. You can help emPOWER more individuals each year by joining our Power Partner Club. The ongoing support of monthly donors in our Power Partner Club helps to ensure that the WillPower Foundation has the resources to say ‘yes’ to more families and individuals with different abilities, every grant cycle. Join us for various fund-raising events throughout the year (www.willpowerfoundation.org/events) or host your own fund-raiser by contacting [email protected].
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The WillPower Foundation utilizes volunteer committees to help organize our various fund-raising events throughout the year. Join a committee or reach out to donate your time at any of our events. We welcome junior volunteers and the opportunity to teach compassion and cultivate community.
