MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to
provide compassionate, comprehensive, and supportive end-of-life care to patients and their loved ones in their homes or throughout the community.
WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
Friends of Hospice House Inc.,
d/b/a Hospice of the Fisher Home, is a nonprofit hospice not affiliated with any hospital system. We provide hospice
care anywhere our patients and families live throughout most of the tri-county area. We are the highest-rated hospice in Western Mass., according to the mass.gov Care Compare website. We also have a nine-bed residence in Amherst, where we provide 24-hour, expert end-of-life care to those who need it. We have the only hospice residence in Western Mass.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Join our wonderful team that includes alternative therapists such as Reiki masters, massage therapists, pet therapy, and art therapy. Cooks, those who love to read, and people who like to hold space for others are all welcome. Our We Honor Our Vets program is looking for veteran volunteers as well. Please contact Barbara Russell to learn about upcoming trainings.

The purpose of hospice is not to hasten or postpone death, but to affirm life, treat symptoms, and provide quality care. In this season of giving, we are kindly asking for your gift to help us continue to provide expert end-of-life care throughout our community and at our residence in Amherst.
