Irish Language Day

The Irish Cultural Center of Western New England will hold its annual “Lá na Gaeilge” (Irish Language Day) on Saturday, May 3 at Elms College in Chicopee, MA, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

The program is a unique opportunity to take part in Irish language learning at any level, from beginner to advanced. As well as two instructional language classes, the day includes a choice of cultural workshop (tin whistle, hurling, or traditional Irish font), a raffle, and traditional Irish music session. Édith de Faoite, Elms FLTA, will present a lecture about the Women of the Gaelic Revival.

The cost is $50 per person, $45 for ICC Patrons, and $15 for students 21 and under; includes lunch and refreshments throughout the day. Registration is due by May 2. Visit the ICC website to see the full schedule, register online or download a registration form: www.IrishCenterwne.org.
