Cooking the Books: Accounting Ethics & Forensic Investigation

January 13, 2015 @ 7:00 am - 9:30 am

Occupational fraud from asset misappropriation is a costly crime inflicted upon firms small and large. As a result, organizations are taking a more proactive and strategic internal approach to identifying fraud through economic transaction analysis. This type of complex accounting examination expands far beyond a typical audit and demands a specialized skill set in forensic accounting expertise. This free seminar and networking breakfast will cover red flags and warning signs of fraud, as well as accounting ethics and forensic investigations. The event, held in the Faculty Dining Room in the Mary Dooley College Center at Elms College, is part of our Continuing Education Breakfast Series. Accounting CPEs are available. Pre-registration is required at www.elms.edu/mbaforensic.
