Leadership 2.0: Creating & Leveraging Networks for Success

Creating & Leveraging Networks for Success
Presenter: Gibran Rivera, Interaction Institute for Social Change, Boston

Everything happens through networks. There are so many opportunities to network in the region, but do we even understand what it means to thrive in a networked world? We are no longer talking about exchanging cards at a cocktail hour. How can we be more strategic about our networks? Learn how to better network even when you hate networking or are an introvert. Stop networking for network’s sake and build strategic networks. We are thrilled to have Gibran lead this interactive and fun workshop designed to help you build networks for your success in career and community.

Gibran Rivera is a Senior Associate at the Interaction Institute for Social Change in Boston. He moved from Puerto Rico to Westfield in Western Massachusetts at the age of 12. The experience of “becoming a minority” has come to define his life’s work… The Pioneer Valley still holds a special place in his heart. Gibrán is the originator of the Start & Thrive Studio, and he keeps his long time affiliation with the Interaction Institute for Social Change. At IISC he works on the development of leaders, organizations and networks and uses coaching, training, process design and facilitation in service of those who are committed to social transformation.
