2024 Family Reunion

Rooted in legacy. Inspired by impact.

It’s time to ReuniteCelebrate our Honor the richness of our legacy!

For more than four decades we have been engaging with youth and families in our beautiful community and our commitment remains stronger than ever. All of our work comes alive in YOU, our MLKFS alumni!

Join us September 7-8, 2024 at The MLKFS Community Center to share stories, reunite with friends and mentors, and to celebrate the impact of our work towards building Dr. King’s vision of a beloved community.

The weekend will be FILLED with Food, Fun and Fellowship.

Family-Fun Day! (Saturday, 11am-5pm)

We will launch our time together with a brief program, beginning at 11:30am and the fun will continue until 5pm! We are excited to welcome you back – not only physically to the beloved Community Center but to share innumerable memories and to making even more together!

From backyard games to Spades/Scrabble/Dominoes/Chess Tournaments and Community Center tours, there will be something for everyone.

Food and snacks will be offered including ice cream, cotton candy, popcorn and so much MORE!

And did we mention: Dance vibes & karaoke, Family Fun Relay games, face painting, and SO much MORE!

WTCC Radio will be joining us to offer opportunities to record your MLKFS story of impact/testimonial.

Fellowship & Worship (Sunday, 4pm-5pm)

There is no MLKFS without the vision of Project Mustard Seed—we will gather in that spirit and tradition with a special worship service under the leadership The Reverend Dr. Terrlyn L. Curry Avery, Pastor of the MLK Jr. Community Presbyterian Church as we welcome Project Mustard Seed Visionary Leader The Reverend Dr. Ronald E. Peters to bless us with his message and call to action.

We are overjoyed that this celebration will feature a MLK Community Choir under the direction of Elder Terrence Haynes, accompanied by Terrence Schider.  Prepared to be blessed!

Our fellowship is powerful.  Together, we will gather to honor our ancestorial legacy leaders, the many who make up the fabric of MLKFS in our region and the dreamers who are investing in the vision forward.

All are welcome to worship with us for this momentous occasion!
