The team at BusinessWest created the Women of Impact awards in 2018 as a way to honor the women in the region that are making an impact. When selecting a name for this award, the decision was made to use Women of Impact because there are so many different ways to make an impact and create positive change in the world. Since its inception, the women honored through this program have been successful, inspiring, and most importantly, impactful! We are certain this trend will remain true with the 2024 Women of Impact. Consider nominating someone for this prestigious award. 2024 nominations are due by September 2nd, 2024 at 5 pm, and the honorees will be announced in the Oct. 14 issue of BusinessWest. You may use the below form to submit a nomination for 2024 consideration.

As you consider nominating, please keep in mind the following guidelines in preparing your nomination:

Nominations
Nominations must be submitted via the designated online form. Mail-in nominations will not be accepted. Nominations must be received no later than September 2nd, 2024 at 5 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

BusinessWest will verify the factual basis of the submitted nominations and may request substantiating information from nominees or others. BusinessWest reserves the right to request and require additional information from nominees in order to have their nomination considered. False, deceptive, or unsubstantiated nominations or acts may render a nominee ineligible. All nomination forms become the property of BusinessWest and will not be returned.

Nominations for 2023 consideration must be submitted by September 2nd, 2024 at 5 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time). 

Nomination Eligibility

• Nominees must be female residents of, or employed in either Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin or Berkshire County
• Nominations may be self-nominated or nominated by another person.
• All nominations must be submitted via our online form by September 2nd, 2024 at 5 p.m.
• Nominees cannot be a member of the judges’ panel or member of the judges’ immediate family.
• Nominee has made impactful accomplishments or contributions which have positively influenced business or community.
• Nominee demonstrates unwavering passion and commitment for an issue that has made a difference in the lives of others.
• Nominee has influenced other women through her actions and contributions.
• Nominee exemplifies qualities of spirit, service, compassion for others or professionalism to achieve accomplishments; has overcome adversity in order to give back to the community.
• Nominee delivered real business impact
• Nominee applied innovative thinking to push boundaries and find new and better ways to do things.
• Nominee consistently demonstrated exceptional and progressive leadership.
• Nominee mentored and inspired others striving for success.
• Submitting duplicate identical nominations for a nominee does not increase the chances of the nominee being selected.
• Nominations must be submitted through this online nomination form and will not be accepted via email under any circumstances.
• Nominees cannot be a member of the judges’ panel or member of the judges’ immediate family.

Notification and Recognition
BusinessWest plans to notify the winners of the “Women of Impact” Awards by late-September, 2024 and will be profiled in the Oct. 14, 2024 edition of BusinessWest. 

Judging
A panel of independent judges will assess the nominations and select the honorees. The judging process will commence and be completed by early-Sept. If more than one nomination is received for a particular nominee, BusinessWest, in its sole discretion, may consider any or all of the nominations for that individual in the judging process. Nominees cannot serve as awards judges. The selection of award winners will be final and binding and are not subject to appeal or reconsideration of any kind.

Nomination Form
The panel of judges base their decisions solely on the nomination forms. Please provide thoughtful, well-developed and concise responses for your nominee’s full consideration with concrete examples. It’s important to use every opportunity to promote skills and achievements wholeheartedly and with plenty of detail.
