The National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ), founded in 1927 as the National Conference of Christians and Jews, recently presented its Annual Human Relations Awards at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Six area residents were honored for their dedication to fighting bias, bigotry, and racism and promoting understanding and respect for all. The Women Business Owners Alliance of the Pioneer Valley Inc. (WBOA) recently celebrated its 2012 Woman of the Year Event and 30th Anniversary Gala at Chez Josef in Agawam.
