Sakina Ibrahim to Offer Workshop at Clinical & Support Options

AMHERST — Author and dance educator Sakina Ibrahim will facilitate a workshop for parents and their children using her acclaimed book Big Words to Little Me, an event sponsored by Clinical & Support Options Inc. and taking place on Wednesday, Nov. 18 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Bridge Family Resource Center, 101 University Dr., Amherst.

This workshop is for caregivers and their children (ages 9 and older) and serves as a creative approach to self-development and communication that focuses on addressing personal and collective challenges in order to discover the power of choice and determination. Using movement, dramatic arts, and Ibrahim’s book, each parent and child are guided toward methods of empowerment, self-discovery, and bonding. Free dinner and free child care will be provided
