More than 2,000 attendees packed the MassMutual center on April 29 for Bay Path University’s 21st annual Women’s Leadership Conference. The day-long event, themed ‘Thrive,’ featured a number of keynote speakers and informative breakout sessions. On May 7, Square One staged its annual Kentucky Derby Party, a fund-raising event that brought more than 130 people to the Colony Club. On April 27, more than 500 people gathered at the Log Cabin Banquet & Meeting House in Holyoke for the annual Grinspoon Entrepreneurship Initiative Awards Ceremony & Banquet. The event featured displays from dozens of Grinspoon Entrepreneurial Spirit Award winners, representing 14 area colleges and universities, a pitch contest, and a dinner featuring keynote speaker Brendan Ciecko, founder and CEO of Caseum, a technology startup.
