Six Flags New England to Host Fright Fest Scare Fair Hiring Event

AGAWAM –– Six Flags New England is searching for the region’s best monsters, performers, and creative talent as the park prepares for another season of screams. The park will host its annual Fright Fest Scare Fair on Fridaym Aug. 7 from 4 to 7 p.m., and Saturday, Aug. 8 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., to fill 250 entertainment positions for Fright Fest, presented by Snickers, and the family-friendly Kids Boo Fest.

Applicants can interview and audition for a variety of seasonal positions, including scare actors, actors, singers, dancers, makeup artists, sound and lighting technicians, tailors, and Kids Boo Fest attendants.

The Scare Fair will take place at the Six Flags New England Human Resources Building, 1756 Main St., Agawam. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply online in advance at jobs.sixflags.com.

Performers auditioning for scare actor roles should be ready to scream, laugh, walk, and creep like their favorite monster.

For candidates interested in stage productions, including “Midnight Uprising” and “Love at First Fright,” actors are encouraged to prepare a one-minute comedic monologue, singers should prepare a verse and chorus of an upbeat pop song that showcases vocal range and personality, dancers should be prepared to participate in a choreographed dance call led by a park choreographer, makeup artists should bring a portfolio or photos of previous work, and sound and lighting technicians should bring a résumé highlighting relevant experience. Applicants must be at least 16 years old to work Fright Fest evening events.

Fright Fest returns Sept. 26 and runs weekends and select days through Nov. 1, featuring haunted houses, scare zones, live entertainment, and other attractions. During the day, families can enjoy Kids Boo Fest, featuring kid-friendly Halloween activities, themed entertainment, and seasonal fun.
