HANCOCK — On July 1, recreational marijuana becomes legal in Massachusetts. As the only state on the East Coast to allow 21 and older to buy cannabis recreationally, analysts anticipate a surge in tourism to Massachusetts, and particularly the Berkshires, from places like New York, Vermont, and Connecticut. Today, June 14, Berkshire Roots and 1Berkshire will host an educational session on “Canna Tourism in the Berkshires: What It Means for Your Business” at Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort in Hancock from 5 to 7 p.m. Attorney Andrea Nuciforo Jr., one of the founding members of Berkshire Roots, will address attendees’ questions.
