HOLYOKE — The Wealth Transition Collective, a values-based financial planning firm located in Holyoke, announced the the addition of industry veteran Kent Griffiths, who joined the firm in early October as head of Investment Strategy.

Griffiths brings with him more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, most recently from MFS, the pioneering firm that launched the multi-trillion-dollar mutual fund sector. During his career, he has collaborated with thousands of financial advisors, providing market insights and innovative investment strategies that have enabled countless advisors and their clients to navigate the complexities of the financial landscape.

Griffiths has lived in various parts of the U.S. before making his home in Western Mass. Originally from Southern California, he moved to Houston during his early school years and attended the University of Texas at Austin. There, he met his college sweetheart, Ruth Mitchell, and began a lifelong partnership. The couple eventually settled in Boston before moving to Western Mass. in 2000.

HOLYOKE — The Wealth Transition Collective will host its fifth annual weeklong food drive Monday through Friday, Nov. 11-15, at its office ay 1632 Northampton St., Holyoke. The drive will benefit Margaret’s Pantry in recognition of National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.

Weather permitting, the firm will have a table in front of the office for dropoffs. Thanks to the help of clients, friends, and community, more than 4,000 pounds of food and monetary donations of more than $7,500 have been raised since the start of this event.

Some of the most-needed items at the pantry during this time of year are canned foods (poultry, tuna, soups, stews, chili, gravy, sauces, fruits, vegetables, and beans), dried goods (soup, stuffing, pancake and other baking mixes, tea bags, powdered milk, rice, and pasta), as well as potato chips, granulated sugar, peanut butter, frosting, syrup, honey, bottled water, salad dressing, condiments, Jell-O, and kids’ snack items.

Margaret’s Pantry, a division of Providence Ministries for the Needy, is a full-service food pantry that has provided food to residents of Greater Holyoke for more than 30 years. Presently, the pantry provides food to more than 180 families each month, and approximately 72,000 meals a year are distributed to the needy in the community.

Since the start of this event, the firm has raised more than 3,000 pounds of food and monetary donations of more than $5,000. Individuals can drop off non-perishable and canned foods during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) at 1632 Northampton St., Holyoke. Weather permitting, there will be a drop-off table outside the front door for easy accessibility.

HOLYOKE — The Wealth Transition Collective (TWTC) recently announced two additions to its firm. Ashley Hopkins has joined the firm as director of Client Services & Operations. In her role, she will be responsible for new business implementation and five-star concierge service to firm clients. She has more than six years of experience in the financial-services industry.

“Ashley has already had a profound impact on the firm and our clients,” TWTC CEO Greg Sheehan said.

Jennifer Cooke joined the Wealth Transition Collective as a retirement-plan advisor. In her role, she is responsible for all 401(k), 403(b), cash-balance and defined-benefit plan business, including employee education. She helps her clients stay in compliance with ERISA standards for employer-sponsored retirement plans. With more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of the retirement-plan business, she acts as a co-fiduciary on retirement plans for business owners throughout New England.

Cooke is a certified retirement-plan specialist, a certified plan fiduciary advisor, and an accredited investment fiduciary.

Last year, the firm collected more than 1,300 pounds of food and more than $3,000 in monetary donations. Individuals can drop off non-perishable and canned foods during office business hours (Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) at 1632 Northampton St. in Holyoke. Weather permitting, there will be a drop-off table outside the front door for easy accessibility.
