Greenfield Cooperative Bank Partners with United Way for Diaper Drive

GREENFIELD — Greenfield Cooperative Bank announce its continued partnership with United Way to support families in need through a month-long diaper drive happening throughout August. As part of this community effort, collection boxes will be available at all 10 of the bank’s branches, making it easy for customers and neighbors to contribute.

The United Way Diaper Bank helps keep children healthy and families secure, distributing more than 20,000 free diapers each month to families across Franklin and Hampshire counties. The diaper bank operates through a network of community distribution sites across both counties.

“United Way plays such a vital role in our communities throughout Hampshire and Franklin counties,” said Abby LaValley, branch manager at Greenfield Cooperative Bank’s Amherst branch. “We love partnering with them each year for their annual diaper drive. It’s amazing to see the level of support coming from our customers and neighbors.”

Accepted items include diapers and pull-ups of any size (no adult diapers). Diapers and pull-up packages can be opened if the contents are clean (no pet hair, etc.), but wipes must be new packages. Kids’ diapers sizes 5 and up and all sizes of pull-ups are most needed, as they are the costliest sizes with the smallest counts per package.

Greenfield Cooperative Bank invites customers, community members, and local businesses to participate by donating diapers, pull-ups, and wipes throughout the month of August. To find the nearest branch, visit www.greenfieldcoopbank.com.
