SOUTH EGREMONT — The second annual “Fodder: Stories from the Fields” will be presented on Sunday, Sept. 27 from 3 to 5 p.m. at April Hill, 62 Undermountain Road, South Egremont. Doors open at 2:30 p.m.

Farmers across the region will take the stage to draw the audience into the fascinating, humorous, and sometimes shocking work of being a farmer in the Northeast. Storytelling maven Sheela Clary will serve as emcee. This year’s farmer storytellers include Mary and Beatrice Berle, Elizabeth Keen, Michael Mugridge, Krysia Kurz, Ashni Sunder, youth farmers, and others. Attendees will also enjoy locally sourced food and a social hour after the stories.

The cost is $15 for the general public and free for farmers (but all must register to save a space).

The afternoon is co-produced by Berkshire Agricultural Ventures, Berkshire Grown, Bridge, Farmsteads for Farmers, and Greenagers, with support from Housatonic Heritage and Guido’s Fresh Marketplace. Click here to register.
